Some sweet things...

I went to tutor at AJ's school.  I work with one 4th grader, and two girls in AJ's class.  After turoring, I stayed and played with him and his frineds at recess.  He was the line leader and he was so proud to have his mom with him holding his hand.  All his friends wanted to play with us on the playground.  At lunch, everyone asked to sit by me.  AJ was happy to have me there and to spend time with just him.  When I go there for lunch, I let him buy a sherbert push-up and that makes it extra special. On his behavior chart at school he has been earning greens (everyone starts at green) and purples (extra good). He earns special treats at home whenever he gets a purple.  At the end of the week if he has all green and purples, he gets an egg nog shake.  We have bought as many half gallons of egg nog ice cream as we can fit in our freezer. Its a family favorite that comes once a year and we try to make it last as long as we can. AJ continues to improve his reading and it is so fun to have him want to read some of his books. I try to go to the library once a week.  He sits in the rows of books, usually the dinosaur section the longest, and looks over the pictures to decide if he wants to take it home.  He has a plastic basket from the library that he puts all his books in.  Its way cute.

I love watching Audrey learn.  Her walking is getting better and she loves to climb stairs.  She gives me and Aaron kisses.  Open mouth, slobbery and sweet kisses!  She waved good-bye today without us telling her to. She has learned to open and close things like our medicine mirror, which she was so excited about, doors on her Little People bus and more.  She is learing fast.  I showed her how to play with some of AJ's "doctor" toys that have a button to push for a light to go on.  She did it immediately and even pulled and pushed the shot.  She has just started dancing.  She sits, sticks her elbows out and twists side to side.  I say "dance, dance, dance" and copy her. It is so cute.  She loves to sit by her books and open the pages by herself.  She also cries whenever she sees my phone and can't have it.  She loves the remotes too??  I love to say, " love you" while pointing my finger at her and she puts her finger on mine, like an ET moment.  It is so cute.  I love her hair in bows, although they get pulled out too soon.  She also likes to pull at her hair when she is frustrated and it is thining a little on the side she pulls.  She still screams when ever she wants something and then smiles at herself proudly when she gets what she wants.  She often smiles after she sneezes, after bites of food, and when meeting new people.

Once a week we try to have dinner with Aaron by his work.  We all get excited about it.  Aaron usually comes home between 12 and 3 in the morning.  AJ and I always pray for him and thank God for a hard working daddy.  Aaron has lost 140 pounds in the last 8 months.  He looks amazing and feels good.  He is sticking to 1000 calories a day and doing great.  I'm so happy that his quality of life and health will be much improved for years to come.  The kids and I treasure any time we get with him. I always have AJ kiss him good bye before he heads to school since thats usually the only time of day he sees his daddy.  I have Audrey and I hang out with daddy while he gets ready in the morning.  Aaron brings me yummy food that he has left over from his dinner, or orders something specifically for me.  He really takes care of us.  While my parents were visiting, I went with him to work his shift at the Columbia, SC temple.  It was a fabulous day and I'm so happy he gets to serve in the temple again once a month.  He is also teaching Gospel Doctrine every other month. He dosen't think he's a great teacher, but I always have people come up to me with compliments about his teaching!
