Learning New Things...
I asked AJ to give Audrey a few books while I finished something in the kitchen. Here is his idea of how to keep her busy for a looong time. Of course with this many books, she just pushed them off her little table and wanted to do it all over again.
We went out for a hamburger and AJ would usually get nuggets. He has been willing to try "meat" lately so this is AJ at "6" years old having his first hamburger!! He has also tried bacon (not a favorite), chicken (depends on how it is prepared), taco meat (will eat it with only cheese on top) and steak (he loves it and proves himself a real Roome).
AJ drew this picture for Aaron to welcome him home from a business trip to San Fransisco and visiting grammy and papa in LA. AJ said it was the best dinosaur he had ever drawn and was very excited to give it to his daddy. I love that he enjoys making "notes" and giving them to others.
I usually give Audrey Cheerios to eat while I'm fixing her meal. She always throws some of them on the floor. After her meal, she will sit under her chair and eat the "O's" she threw. She also usually ends up with some "O's" on her bum. It cracks me up! I love the little things that only toddlers do. She is also learning some new things. When she brings me a book to read to her, I'll sit on the floor and the last few days she has started to turn her self around and sit on my lap, usually missing it but very cute. I love reading to her on my lap. Another new thing is while I'm reading to her, she will turn her head to look at me and says, "Hi!" with a big smile on her face and repeat this a few times while we're reading. Sooo cute! Before each meal I started to pray with her. Yesterday she folded her arms all by herself. She did this 3 times, and I prayed each time before we finally began eating. I was so proud of her. Below is a picture of Aaron and AJ playing Wii. That is AJ's favorite activity with daddy now. He has become sooo good at it and usually gets 1st place. After watching her daddy and AJ play and give each other high 5's, she started raising her arm high in the air so she could get a high 5 too. Sooo quick to learn and copy already!
Audrey loves her bath time. She kicks and splashes with her hands and just thinks its so funny! When I say "duck" she hits the duck on the head and I just laugh.
I've been trying to make some bows for Audrey. These are the latest batch. I wanted to make a pink and purple one to go with the new spring dress I bought for Audrey. Its the first pretty dress I've bought since we have been blessed to get so much of her clothes as hand me downs from friends!!
