AJ goes roller skating!


 AJ was invited to a birthday party for his friend Taegen, a girl from church. Aaron and I did not want to miss his first time roller skating so we tagged along for the first part. AJ was very excited and had absolutely no idea what he was in for...
 Aaron and I took turns getting pulled, pushed, dragged, toes run over, shins kicked, and hands squeezed by AJ as he "tried/learned" to skate. He was pretty frustrated because it was hard, but he stuck with it and did it by himself in the end.  He inched along and fell alot but Aaron walked along with him around the rink for support.  AJ always wants to do things by himself and won't ask for help until he is totally frustrated.  That is hard for Aaron and I to watch, but that is just how it is.  AJ was cute skating beside Taegan at the end. When we finished skating, Aaron took us to Krispy Kreme donuts to celebrate AJ's first skating experience.

HELLO DISNEY LAND!! We had a fabulous day with Grammy and Papa Roome. The kids were great, especially with treats to offer, and the lines weren't bad and the weather was beautiful.  We all took turns riding with each other and enjoyed the whole day.   Audrey doesn't like tv, but within the last 2 weeks she started to like Mickey Mouse Club House. Picture Happy in Williamsburg VA ~ November 25th to 27th

 Since Aaron had time off and we wanted to do something adventurous with his parents in town we ventured off to Williamsburg, VA.  None of us had been there and we all love American history so it was the perfect destination.  The drive was actually very pleasant.  Grammy sat in back with AJ and compiled a list of his favorite things. It was a really amazing list. They also watched movies. I read and kept Audrey busy and surprisingly she was pretty content just snacking (which she tries to do all day long), playing, singing, and reading. We were also lucky enough to have her fall asleep in the car, which is not an easy accomplishment.  Aaron drove the whole way while visiting with Papa and listening to Christmas and other music.  We arrived Friday afternoon and bought tickets for the following days activities.  It was very busy and we were really excited to start sight seeing. All of  Colonial Williamsburg has been restored to 18th-c...

Happy 2nd Birthday Audrey ~ January 1st - 8th 2012

This picture above of Audrey just makes me laugh. She is almost 2 here and I want to document her life at this age. Audrey loves to laugh and sing.  Some of her favorite songs are Veggie Tales Theme Song ("Broccoli" she calls it), I Love to See the Temple, Rock-a-by, If You're Happy and You Know It, Walking in a Winter Wonderland, I Know He Lives, The Wise and Foolish Man, Twinkle Twinkle and many more.  These are the ones she sings the most and she also likes to insert her favorite peoples' names into the songs. During the day Audrey loves to play with her babies and their strollers, build a building with her big Legos, read books, go to the park or Discovery center, play in the yard or ride her tricycle, rock on her rocking bear, vacuum and sweep with me, color or draw with her markers, make a mess with play dough, visit her friends at the YMCA while I work out, visit our favorite friends Kristen and daug...
