Aaron and his brother Dolphe spent 4 days in NYC together. Dolphe had never been there so Aaron showed him the cities famous sites.

 Grimaldi's - the original NY coal-oven pizza. Well worth the walk across the Brooklyn Bridge and hour wait out in front of the restaurant.


Stopped by Carnegie Deli for a light lunch before taking a walk through Central Park and going for a row. Pastrami and Corned Beef Reuben for two.

Audrey above is at her first tumbling class. Below she is at her new tap and ballet class. We've started taking classes at Miller Street Dance Studio.  Mondays she has a 30 min tumbling class and on Tuesdays she spends 20 minutes on tap then 20 min. on ballet. Her teachers are great and we'll have a performance with costumes in May. She loves all of her classes!






I made a new fall wreath for the front door.  I'm loving burlap right now and I'm so ready for fall!




I love this basket that Aaron picked out to go on the ottoman. I went to Pier One and they helped me put together the books and glass container inside the basket.  I love it! I also loooove the front chest we found and the mirror just makes me smile for some reason! It is just as hard as I thought it would be to find and put things together in the house, but after something comes together it feels great!

Destination Wedding in Saint Croix ~ December 6th - 9th 2012

Aaron's friend Chris from Wake Forest Business School invited us to his wedding on Saint Croix, one the U.S.Virgin Islands. When it finally came time to leave it seemed pretty unreal. Last December we were in Punta Cana loving the beach, now we were again able to be on a beach, only an American one, not in America. We flew to St. Thomas, then we squeezed into the plane in the pictures you see above and below.  It held 10 passengers including the pilot.  He turned around and gave us the basic instructions including the no-smoking bit, but if you really wanted to you just needed to step out the door, it was only 50 feet (or something like that). I was in the last row and my head was touching the ceiling. It was exciting and a little unnerving which just made the trip that much more adventurous. The view was breathtaking in many ways. Baseball, Soccer, Botanical Gardens~ May 18th - 24th

 Audrey loves the sand box.  She has no problem getting or being dirty.  The heat also does not deter her from playing in the sand.  I stand in the shade most of the time unless she wants me to build her castles that she can knock down or step on.  AJ's soccer season is over and he had a great time.  Above is a picture of the parents vs kids game we played at the soccer party.  Thankfully this year no parent or kid got hurt.  After the game we had a picnic and the players got their medals.  Audrey ran circles around the field and kicked loose soccer balls around. We had these 2 coaches for 2 seasons and they were awesome with the kids.  AJ definitely improved because of their abilities.  We will miss them as they move on to college in the fall. Hornets Game and the Roome Reunion ~ March 2016

We love to visit Daddy at work.  While there we often go up to the 10th floor observatory and see the city lights. Our stake had a Luau and President Hall roasted a huge pig for us.  The kids love to dress up for any occasion and are pretty experienced in posing for pictures... Our martial arts studio had their annual Easter Egg hunt.  We have fun at all their holiday parties. The kids and I enjoyed watching the St. Patrick's Day parade. We kept thinking about Grandma and Grandpa Sorensen and how much they'd love to be at this parade too since they served a mission in Ireland. Little Miss Audrey and I loved watching the Little Mermaid ballet.  She is getting old enough to appreciate these activities and I'm so happy since I've been looking  forward to taking her for a long time.
