Slip-N-Slide, Bowling, Kids Discovery Place and Camping ~ July 24-July 31st

On June 22, 2011 Aaron and I celebrated our 10th anniversary.  During those 10 years we have lived in 2 apartments in Lomita CA, an apartment home in Winston-Salem NC, one apartment and one walk up in New York City, 2 apartments in San Diego CA, a townhouse in Charlotte and now we are renting our first house.  We are not sharing any more walls!! We love that our house is on a dead end rode and has a big yard surrounding the house.  We have lots of places to play and ride bikes.  We love having our own yard to play on a slip-n-slide or run through the sprinkler. Our house is in the Candlewyck community that has  a big pond for fishing and a beautiful water fountain. It also has a pool to go swimming in during the summer. Grandma and Grandpa take AJ there or to the YMCA to swim every day.

This summer I signed AJ up for a free summer bowling league.  He could bowl 2 games a day for free and we paid for the shoe rentals.  Grandma and Grandpa would stay home with Audrey so that AJ and I could have some time together.  He did a great job and really had fun.  He especially enjoyed bowling in the black lights.

I bought this igloo tent at IKEA.  I thought the kids would love to play and read in it.  They are playing together more and more these days.

Audrey loves her bears and babies. She sleeps and plays with them.  Here she has one of Aaron's handkerchiefs as a blanket for her bear.  She often puts them in her pink stroller and pushes them around the house. She says, "Ohhh baby, ohhh bearrr" and pats them on the back.

We took Grandma and Grandpa to the Kids Discovery Place.  The kids love it there! It is fun watching the kids have fun and play on, in and around so many cool things.

Aaron and AJ went to their first Fathers and Sons Outing organized by the church. They had a great time, but it rained the majority of the time. AJ almost caught on fire since he kept getting so close to the fire and his poncho is flammable. They wore ponchos the whole time and even stuck it out overnight in there little 2 man tent.  AJ enjoyed a morning of playing, sliding and swimming in the mud!
