School Parties, Swim Meets, Black Belt Recommended ~ June 2016
The kids went to a glow in the dark party at church for all the primary children. They had a great time along with all the other kids. Audrey loved getting her face painted, of course.
Audrey and Aaron were able to break some boards at a martial arts party. They keep the boards and create all sorts of things with them. Audrey likes to use them as "cards" to decorate and give away and Aaron glues them together like buildings.
Audrey loves to play in the sand and was excited to show this to me.
We enjoyed a family outing to the Machu Picchu restaurant. The food was yummy and we were all happy with our meals.
Audrey can get pretty creative with her toys and other things that she finds in my bedroom...
The end of the year party was a success. The crafts and games were fun and all enjoyed them. I love to go help in the classroom, especially during the parties. I like watching her interact with her friends and learn more about the things she is learning.
Mrs. Ebert was such a good teacher for Audrey and it has been a great year.
Daddy continues to run even on all his business trips. We get to see many of the cities he visits when he takes pictures of places he runs.
Epiphany had a wonderful program on the last day of school. The teachers gave a short speech about each student and the specific progress they have made. Some of the kids shared a story or poem they had written. Aaron shared one and did a great job. It has been such a great school for Aaron and we love the staff and principal.
I had a lot of fun decorating the cake and cupcakes. Many of the parents helped me decorate the courtyard for the celebration. We will miss these teachers and classmates this summer.
Audrey has had a great time swimming with the Hembstead swim team. They practice every morning and have two meets a week all through June. Her swimming has improved and we are getting to know our neighbors even better.
Audrey has belted all her stuffed animals to herself. Cute and silly!
We joined our friends in the Confetti Kids service club to make some casseroles. The kids did all the work and decorated labels as well. The casseroles will be frozen and donated to a young men's home to help them have easy meals to prepare.
Audrey and Riley had fun running through the sprinklers, eating snow cones and being silly. They even jumped in and out of the hot tub.
Aaron received a scouting award and I also got a pin. He was glad to receive a badge and I like seeing him proud to have earned it.
The guys all joined in some kind of scouting hug and it was entertaining to watch.
We love swim meets at our home pool. The kids line up while the parents make a tunnel for them to run through. They get so excited and its a great way to start the meet. I also love how our team swims slowly across the pool with raised flags during the national anthem. All the parents volunteer somehow during the meet and its great to hear the kids cheer each other on.
Aaron and I had a black belt boot camp and Dad took a few pictures of us during our board breaking.
Its Audrey's turn to test and receive her black belt recommended. She did awesome and passed all the tests. We are so proud of her and her hard work. Now she has 6 months to earn her 1st degree black belt. I know she will do it!
Happy Father's Day!! Breakfast in bed and presents for Daddy! We love spending time with Dad and especially showing him extra love on his special day.
