Soccer Party, James K Polk Memorial, Parks ~November 2014
Aaron had his last soccer game. Then the team party was at Coach White's in-laws house. There were wagon rides, swings, games, the boys played soccer, football, jumped on the trampoline, went through a small haunted house and then pizza. After we all ate, Coach handed out the medals. He had each boy stand on the chest and told them all the ways he made them proud.
Audrey's class went to Barnes and Noble for a book fair. They decorated Curious George masks, had a book red to them, and paraded around the store.
The James K Polk Memorial had a special celebration that we attended. The kids were able to step back in time and enjoy games, crafts and more while there. They even got to witness a gun being shot, which AJ was beyond thrilled about.
They are both so competitive that it made it fun for me to watch them compete at games they were not used to playing.
There were many dressed up in costumes and this guy impressed AJ so we got a picture with him.
Watching the kids put the dried corn into the special grinder that easily peeled the corn off the cob was one of their favorite activities. It reminded me of being young and my mom drying corn then frying it with butter and salt. Yummmy!!
We were at the mall and Audrey couldn't resist grabbing fake snow and throwing it all over the lit trees.
My little kitchen helper! I'll take all I can get!
Audrey and I started to set up our new Christmas tree when she got inspired to sing Frozen to me in her Halloween costume. I loved it!!
We love Saturdays with dad. We went to a park across from the Knights baseball stadium right in Uptown. I love the skyline in the background as we all play catch, soccer and chase each other around.
AJ made this apple turkey and was very proud of it.
Each of the kids at Audrey's school wrote one thing they were grateful for to hang on the door turkey. Audrey wrote "I am thankful for my dad going to Punta Cana." We were all thankful for that fun family vacation!
So many hours, people and prayers have and are helping to make this years Nativity Festival successful. I've been so busy and stressed and blessed through planning this festival. I can't accurately put into words so I'm not going to try. I do love this invitation though.
The kids earned a special outing and unfortunately they choose Chuck E Cheese which is not Aaron and my favorite hangout. But of course they had a blast and we love to see them happy!
Some of Audrey's creations at the Discovery place. She loves to make a big floor of the wood planks.
One of our favorite parks is Freedom Park. We enjoy playing at the Panther football themed side.
This year we spent Thanksgiving with our friends the Blauers. Since I've been so stressed and busy with the Festival preparations they invited us to their house. My parents came to town a few days after Thanksgiving, but that didn't stop us from having another Thanksgiving dinner. They came to town to help watch the kids for the week of the festival while I coordinate decorations and then the festival itself. After the festival is over I'll get to enjoy them for a few days too.
