St Pat's Day, Ballet and Tap, School Easter Party, Spring Break ~ March 16th to 31st 2013
I created a St Patricks day scavenger hunt for Audrey and AJ. AJ found all the clues and Audrey followed him pretending she knew what was going on. The final prize was Lucky Charms cereal, green marshmallows, and green gum. Then the kids made rainbow necklaces using Fruit Loops! Yummy!!
AJ made a cute card for his teacher for teacher appreciation week. We also made an early Easter Egg basket for her and since her favorite treat is chocolate, we filled it full of all sorts of chocolate candies. She has been a wonderful teacher for AJ and I've really enjoyed tutoring many of her students throughout the year. We have been blessed for the many ways she has helped AJ grow and develop.
The parents were invited into the classroom to watch the ballet and tap lessons and preview the dances they are working on. I finally got some fairly good pictures of Audrey dancing.
Audrey's class decorated egg cartons for their Easter egg hunt. It made it easier for each kid to find 12 eggs since some of them still can't count. After finding the eggs outside, they came into the classroom and decorated egg bunnies with all sorts of papers, pom poms and glitter glue.
Spring Break is here!! We have spent the last several years in California during spring break and Easter. We were blessed to spend yet another week of spring break with our Roome family relatives. The kids and I went out on a Friday morning and had the best flying experience so far. The kids were good and easily entertained the majority of the flight. Aaron flew out Friday night and stayed until Tuesday night before taking a red eye flight back to Charlotte and work.
As soon as we arrived the fun began. All the cousins were excited to be together again. I love how it only takes a few minutes for everyone to start playing like we did it every week. One of the first places they headed was the trampoline. Jamie and Audrey didn't waste any time getting dressed up in some princess costumes and gathering as many bracelets and necklaces as possible.
All of the Roome family gathered on Saturday for pictures. Afterwards Grammy hid some Easter baskets for all the grand kids to find. We loved having everyone together and enjoyed some fun activities. We decorated little egg cakes, played on the trampoline, built trains, and had a yummy dinner.
After church on Sunday we had an Easter egg hunt. All the kids loved that of course! We also got to spend some time with the extended Inskeep family members Mark, Stephanie, their families and Aunt Bonnie. James and Alicia made a yummy dinner for everyone that all enjoyed.
