Antelope Mine with Uncle Brian ~ July 7th 2012

This morning Audrey was helping Grandma water the plants with a water bottle. It was cute she didn't get soaked by the hose as usual.

AJ and I went to The Drums Along the Rockies with Grandpa.   It was awesome watching marching bands compete. We loved the different theme music with costumes to match. Great program!! AJ got a scarf just like the Casper Troopers.

My brother Brian works at the  Antelope Mine is Gillette, Wy. He got special permission to give a group of us a tour. My sister Cristy and her family, AJ and I, Brian's friend and two kids all went. We drove about 2 hours to get there. Once there Brian got hard hats and glasses to protect our eyes.  The little boys loved the glasses as you can see in this picture. We got into a company van that held all of us and got to see what it would be like to work in and among some of the biggest trucks we've ever seen.  Brian was a great tour guide and we were all constantly amazed at the precision driving and safety used by the drivers. It was a fun experience that we will always remember!

Brian is handing out ear plugs because the trucks are so loud. He took such good care of us!

Below Audrey is wearing AJ's "protection glasses" that Brian gave him.  He loved them so much he wore them in and outdoors for several weeks.

We had fun getting to know our cousin Easton.  He was a sweet baby and we enjoyed the time we got to spend with him.
