Basketball, Biking with Dad, Valentine's Day Fun ~ February 11- 20th 2012

AJ had a great basketball season.  His last game was very fun to watch and as usual he was the first one down the court for defence and hustled to get as many rebounds as he could.  After the game the team met at Chick-fil-A for lunch, dessert and awards.  AJ's coach said he could always be counted on to do whatever needed to be done.  This season AJ definitely improved in all areas and really had fun being successful in his efforts to be a better basketball player.

Aaron and AJ have been going bike riding every Saturday. AJ is usually hesitant at first to "explore" the neighborhood with dad, but his confidence in his riding skills has increased and also his faith in his dad's ability to guide him and keep him safe from cars, dogs, and whatever else.

Making tents is one of our favorite things.  But after a few days I really want my living room back!

Audrey loves going to her little class on Monday and Friday.  She has to carry her lunch box, which she used to call her mail box.  She likes her teacher Miss Lisa and Miss Jill.  It takes us 3 minutes to walk to the church pre-school and they have a great little playground with a sandbox that we visit often. Audrey has also discovered that hot dogs make fun rings...

We are not really having winter weather at all. We love to be outside playing sports or riding the tricycle. Audrey loves to visit these ducks and feed them leaves and sticks.

Grandma Sorensen sent some fun Valentine gifts for the kids.  AJ loved sketching on this cool black paper with rainbow colors underneath. Audrey is showing off her little tu-tu. She wears it over her pants.

Having some fun coloring heart pages for Valentine's Day. Lots of special people we love out there.

My friend Karen and I made and decorated yummy cookies and took them to special friends and neighbors.  I love baking some treat for each holiday.

AJ and Audrey loved the Valentine's they received from Grammy and Papa Roome.  They truly love candy! Unfortunately so does their mom and dad!!

AJ made this Valentine for Aaron and me at school.  He glued heart candy in each little liner.  He was very proud of it and brought it carefully home on the bus.

Making pink pancakes for Valentines Day!  It is one of AJ's favorite foods... as long as it is smothered in peanut butter and syrup! That is how Audrey and I like them too.
