AJ and Audrey are always playing chase in the house. Last week the they used the toy walker to chase each other with. In this picture, Audrey stopped chasing AJ and started walking backwards. It was so random and funny and she was so proud of herself. She did it several times. It reminded me of when she wants me to read her a book, she hands it to me (usually right in my face) and then starts anywhere from a foot out to walk backwards landing her bum in my lap as I'm sitting on the floor. I smile everytime because it is just so cute.

Audrey and I eat oatmeal almost every morning for breakfast. Our favorites are when we add frozen strawberries and blueberries. It also helps to cool it down quickly since Audrey has no patience when it comes to breakfast. I usually put some Cheerios on her table to distract her, but as soon as she sees me coming with the bowl, a huge smile crosses her face and she pants with her mouth open. She also does this when she wants a drink. In the last few days, she has mastered the words, " All Done" and puts her hands with the palms up towards the sky. I'm thankful for it because she no longer pushes her spoon out of the way spilling everything when I'm still trying to feed her. But I've also noticed she does frequently throughout the day for everything now instead of just at meal times. This picture is an empty container now used as a toy by Audrey. She loves carrying things around. |
Audrey does have some curl in there... But I have to comb it right after her bath and not touch it afterwards. AJ had the cutest curls when he was a little boy. His will still curls with some gel.

On Tuesday afternoons we meet with a playgroup from church. Today Audrey had her first experience playing in the sand. She loved it! AJ wouldn't touch the sand until he was 3 years old. Now he loves it, especially when it comes from the beach. We miss the California beaches, but will find lots of sand boxes and still have fun. Audrey is fearless at the park. She climbs all the stairs up to the slides and loves going down them. She often tries to walk up the stairs by holding on the rail, but still isn't coordinated enough to pull her leg up the stairs with only one hand on the rail. I caught her eating some dirt for the first time, but I don't think she liked it cause I didn't see it again. She likes to play in the wood chips also. She used to swing for a long time, but this week she'd be in it only a few minutes and then say "All Done" and reach for me. She is still so cute toddling around and had become much better walking around the park and its uneven surfaces. AJ always finds "new friends" every time we go to the park. He loves to play chase on the playground and race the other kids. He loves to swing especially since he learned to pump his legs and swing all by himself. |
Audrey's first "Bling"
Audrey loves giving high fives. Her hand is either way high over her head, or here in the middle. It looks like she is dancing in this picture. She loves to dance too. She pushes the buttons on her toys that have music and bops her head up and down or side to side. If she is standing she'll shake her little hips and it cracks me up. She is a spirited girl!!
Yes, she has a sword and is not afraid to use it! Even when in her pretty spring dress right before church.! AJ has learned how to run from her! Even daddy has been sworded...
AJ is making a poster for his teacher Ms. Crist. She was out for 2 weeks for a surgery and AJ really missed her. She works great with him and he adores her. I forgot to get a picture of the final product but it had lots of fishes drawn with marker, foam stickers of whales, starfish, and sea turtles, and a few corral reefs. He is very thoughtful and makes cards/posters for lots of people.
