Schools Out, Children's Museum, Wyoming Trip ~ June 2015

Aaron earns some pins at his Den meeting.

Aaron is excited for school to be finished, but will miss his teachers Mrs. McFarlane, Mrs. Graham, Mr. Santore and Mrs. Gordon and Elizabeth Lane Elementary.  He will be attending Epiphany School next year. It is a school just for students with Asperger's.

Aaron's class made a mural and his is above.

This was the tag Mr. Santore put on Aaron's desk.

Games, tee shirt and year book signing, and fun for the last day of school. He had a good year, and made some good memories.

Swim team is in full swing.  Audrey is on the team for the first time.  She practiced really hard and finally swam across the whole pool and could participate in the swim meet. Aaron doesn't particularly like racing, he just wants to swim for fun.

Aaron got to hold one of the flags for the National Anthem.  He is in the bright green shirt.

Aaron and Audrey went to a birthday party where they played in a dunk tank. I think Audrey is throwing the ball to dunk him.

Aaron was in Chicago for work and got some delicious pizzas. He also got to see the parade after the Blackhawks won the Stanley Cup. So fun for him!

Audrey had a fun running in the sprinkler, playing in the hot tub and eating snow cones with her friends Rylee, Tagen, and Gwen.

The kids and I went to the Children's Museum in Columbia while dad was serving at the temple.

Audrey and I made cinnamon twists for Fathers day.  Audrey loves taking breakfast in bed to her daddy.

I was Aaron's den leader at Cub Scout camp. Audrey participated in a children's program and loved it.  We were there each day 9am to 4pm and it was so hot. I took a small spray bottle to constantly spray the boys.  We had a blast shooting BB Guns, Archery, swimming, fishing, canoeing , computer programming, rock wall, games and zip line. We sang cheesy songs, made friends, and we were relieved when it was done.

The boys sang a song when someone got a bulls eye.

Man it was hot, but we had fun splashing other canoes with our oars and getting soaked to the skin.

The boys were so fascinated with this robot that would do whatever you instructed it to do.  The robot also led them in some exercises. We were all impressed.

The boys tied flannel quilts one day for a service project.  They also decorated their head scarfs as you can see in the pictures above.

Repelling was pretty hard and scary for many of the boys, but almost all of them did great after getting over the first step onto the wall.

The kids found a baby frog and played with it during the last days celebrations.

The zip line was another challenge for many boys, but Aaron loves zip lines and only wished it had been longer!

At our martial arts graduation Audrey received her blue belt while Aaron and I got our 2nd brown belts. We all are making great progress and still enjoying our classes.

We are on our way to Wyoming to see family.  The kids love the Denver airport because they can ride the tram.

My sister Jan and Kevin picked us up from the airport.  Then they treated us to a yummy dinner and entertainment.

The country theme was cute and fun.

They could not believe that this was once a phone.

Audrey and Jan loved the petting zoo. Aaron will only touch baby animals. Jan and Aaron love all baby animals.

This slide was a favorite for the kids.

Who doesn't love a tree house! Lots of fun picture opportunities outdoors too.

Back at Jan's house in Fort Collins, my sister Dyan joined us for dinner.  Audrey was eating up their attention and getting cozy with her aunts.

I love playing games with my family.  These 2 made me laugh a lot and Jan made us delicious spaghetti.  I love my sisters!

Next Dyan took us to her house in Cheyenne. We went to the Cheyenne museum along with cousin LJ and had a blast.  They loved the carriages, watched rodeo movies, played in the kids room and dressed up as cowboys and pioneers.

The kids truly believe we have cowboy blood since I was born in Wyoming.  Aaron loves "the West".

Later we walked to a park and botanical garden. The kids were thrilled to see ducklings.

Cousin Molly came home from work and played in the sprinklers with LJ and Audrey. It was neat seeing them playing and bonding.  We love cousins!

Daddy has a great view from his hotel in NYC.  He often takes pictures on his trips so we know where he is and feel connected to him.
