BYU With My Sisters, Field Trips, Papa Visits ~ May 2015
The kids had fun at Hawkfest, a school carnival. Audrey loves the bouncy houses and Aaron loved the laser guns.
My amazing husband and friends took care of the kids so I could attend BYU women's conference with my sisters Cara, Dyan, and Cristy. We had the best time being inspired, uplifted, and taught by great speakers and made numerous memories together!
My favorite part of the whole weekend was going to the Payson Temple open house and doing a session together in the Ogden temple. I especially loved when we were all in the Celestial room together. It was literally a heavenly time.
We stopped by to witness a baptism of one of Jay and Debbie Gordon's sons. It was so wonderful to visit with Debbie who is my best friend Cheryl's sister. It's crazy that 2 Casper, Wy girls married brothers from Bountiful Utah. Dyan is holding Cara's grandson. A sweet baby boy.
Back at home we decided to go visit cousin Kelsey in Winston-Salem. We went out to eat and enjoyed some valuable time with her!
Audrey's preschool class had "Muffins for Mom". Audrey gave me a plant with a real and hand made flower in a pot she painted. I love it!
Audrey experienced her first soccer team experience. She had a great time when she wasn't being a poor sport. She is very competitive and doesn't like to lose, but she will learn eventually.
Spending some valuable time playing outside with daddy on a Saturday afternoon.
I went with Aaron and his 4th grade class to the North Carolina Museum of History. We had a blast and saw some really cool displays.
Aaron played his last soccer season with Coach White. He was a great coach and really helped Aaron to enjoy and understand soccer. We had a fun time at the soccer party playing in a tree house, playing catch with the football, jumping on a trampoline, swinging in a tree swing, swimming, eating pizza and getting a medal.
We got a family toy. Cars, convertibles in particular, have always been apart of Aaron's life. His dad once owned a car dealership and they loved driving convertibles. Now Aaron has one and we are all loving it!
Our Saturday tradition is to go to Taco Bell as a family. Audrey got creative and made a flower of the sauces. She likes to pick the table we sit at and get our napkins and sauces.
Aaron's field day with his class was at a park. They played fun games and had several different activities. It was a fun day for everyone.
We gave Audrey's preschool teachers flowers for one of the days of teacher appreciation week!
Dad and Aaron had a big night riding the Fury for the first time! They loved it! Aaron can tell you anything you want to know about this roller-coaster. He has been looking forward to riding it since it was first announced.
Papa is visiting and we love him! We all loved watching Audrey at her little preschool graduation. She got a medal and enjoyed visiting with her teachers and classmates after the presentation. We have loved these teachers Mrs. Jan and Mrs. Karen. They have really helped Audrey get prepared for Kindergarten.
Audrey stopped biting her toe nails and we went for a pedicure to celebrate. She loved the bear chair.
Another family tradition is going out for donuts. Papa enjoyed a yummy glazed donut.
We went to the Kerr house for a huge slip and slide. A great time for all the kids and adults.
I know its May but I'm ready for July. I had fun making this wreath.
Papa and Aaron have been "smoking" some delicious meat!
The boys went out to one of Aaron's favorite places, the airport outlook.
Papa has contributed hours to help Aaron finish this SLC temple. He is so wonderful to have persevered and completed this lego project. Lots of small pieces and sore fingers snapping them together. Thanks Papa!
Aaron participated in an after school program a few days a week specifically for kids with Autism. It was good for Aaron to get to know other kids with autism and have fun getting lots of attention from the workers and volunteers. We had a big party to end the school year and he got to climb on the ropes coarse and did a great job.
Papa and Aaron also built a car model together. Lots of fun memories being made with Papa.
Audrey is finally old enough to be on the Hembstead swim team. She loves the water and is improving every day.
