Let It Snow, Snowmen and Sledding ~ February 2014

Audrey has written our last name.  She was so excited.

Let it snow!! AJ and Audrey can't wait to play in the snow again.  It has been 10 yrs or so everyone tells us since there has been so much snow in Charlotte.  Everything has closed down and no one has shovels or ways to clear the snow. We borrowed our neighbors garden shovel to clear our driveway.

We had so much fun making snowmen.  I included two pictures since Audrey changed the clothes of her snow girl. We didn't have the best winter clothes so had to take many breaks to get warm and dry our clothes or change them.  We wanted to take the kids sledding but didn't have sleds, so we took the swimming inner tubes. We had a great time and made some wonderful memories.

The kids wanted to see what it would be like to jump on the tramp full of snow.

I love the pictures below.  Aaron was determined to get into the hot tub and since he went through all that effort I decided to join him!  It was heavenly! Little crystallized snowflakes were falling on us and it was amazing.

Another day of snow, fun and frozen body parts.  Aaron was soo amazed at real ice cycles and the amount of snow on his power wheels and on Dad's car.

We really got a workout filling sand castle buckets and large Tupperware containers full of snow to build a fort in our front yard. It was a lot of work but well worth it!

Our neighbors loaned us real sleds today.  The kids were flying down the hill and it made me so happy to see them loving the snow.

Happy Valentine's day!  I got the kids a little candy and a flannel board toy they could play with quietly at church. Audrey randomly went to pray in the dining room.  She does that sometimes and it just make me smile. Aaron was at work so he sent us a pizza to celebrate and beautiful flowers.

I had a little fun with Audrey's hair for Valentine's Day.

The kids love the Discovery Place and we spend hours there.

Aaron is trying to make the snow last as long as he can.  Last night and today he collected all the snow he could and put it in a shaded area in the backyard.

Audrey loves the sand and is always asking me to take pictures of her many castle creations.

After washing the cars the kids wanted to wash their bikes.  They love playing in the water and will find any excuse to do so.  They volunteer to water the flowers and manage to water everything nearby as well.
