AJ's Endoscopy and Story Time on the Catawba Queen ~ August 4th - August 14th 2012
AJ's has been having pains in his throat and stomach several times a day for many months. We've tried different interventions with his doctor and a GI specialist but ended up getting an endoscopy. The results showed that everything "looked" normal but the biopsy came back with a high level of white blood cells indicating the presence of an allergic reaction. Anyway, AJ got tested for allergies and he is allergic to dogs, pecan trees, and dust mites. It was good information, but not really helpful in the end. So he is on an 8 week steroid inhaler to hopefully clear out the allergies and give him some relief. He loved the attention he got at the hospital, especially the warm blankets and soda. He was tired the rest of the day, but back to his energic self the next day.
My mom and dad are here!! I'm so happy to have my mom and dad here for 3 weeks. We get to have 7 days playing all together before Aaron and I leave for Paris. One of our favorite activities to do with my parents (we did it last year too) is to go on a one hour Story Time Cruise with milk and cookies served on the Catawba Queen. The boat ride is smooth and not too fast with an amazing view on both sides of the lake. It is definitely an adventure we really enjoy.
