Here is a peek of the 10 day vacation Aaron and I took to Rome for our 10th wedding anniversary.  I'm making a separate blog/document including the 1300 pictures we took. I wanted to share the pictures of us together on this family blog and a few others.  Above is us taking a private tour of Vatican City! It was amazing! The Sistine Chapel lived up to all our expectations. St. Peter's Basilica just incredible as well as St. Peter's Square. Seeing where Peter was buried was actually a moving experience. We learned a ton and took pics of what we could. This gelato below came from the Cafe Vaticano that we enjoyed while trying to cool down and wait for our tour guide. Ahhh Venice!  So beautiful and unique and just wonderful. Loved all the bridges and buildings and of course had a gondola ride. The ride took us through various passageways and under several bridges, particularly the Rialto bridge, where I got some gorgeous glass jewelry, along the Canal Grande. We visited t

New Home, Fishing, Power Parade, Water Fun ~ August 1st-10th

There is a pond in our community where we can go fishing.  Aaron took AJ late one night and they caught a little fish every time they dropped a line in the water.  It was very exciting for AJ to catch his first fish. Aaron showed AJ how to take the hook out of the fish and throw it back into the water.  AJ was scared, but he did throw one fish back into the water.  One time AJ went fishing with Grandpa and he caught a big catfish and a turtle.  Audrey likes fish but she was not very amused with this one.  Audrey is a shoe thief.  She wears everyones shoes and empties the shoe box and closets while she tries them all on.  Its pretty cute, but I've given up on organizing my shoes on the floor in my closet. Grandpa, AJ and I went to the "Parade of Power" at the Charlotte Speedway.  They had one vehicle representing each type of race that is held at the raceway.  They were loud and fun.  AJ and I got a ride in the Sergeant Smash.  It was so fun and took some real sha

On June 22, 2011 Aaron and I celebrated our 10th anniversary.  During those 10 years we have lived in 2 apartments in Lomita CA, an apartment home in Winston-Salem NC, one apartment and one walk up in New York City, 2 apartments in San Diego CA, a townhouse in Charlotte and now we are renting our first house.  We are not sharing any more walls!! We love that our house is on a dead end rode and has a big yard surrounding the house.  We have lots of places to play and ride bikes.  We love having our own yard to play on a slip-n-slide or run through the sprinkler. Our house is in the Candlewyck community that has  a big pond for fishing and a beautiful water fountain. It also has a pool to go swimming in during the summer. Grandma and Grandpa take AJ there or to the YMCA to swim every day. This summer I signed AJ up for a free summer bowling league.  He could bowl 2 games a day for free and we paid for the shoe rentals.  Grandma and Grandpa would stay home with Audrey so that AJ
