Fire Stations, Botanical Garden, Nature Center, Smokey Mountains ~ August 2016

We are visiting another fire station.  The kids loved seeing all the old fire trucks and climbing in and out. We also met our first female firefighter.  She was great and we enjoyed our visit as usual.

We had another great activity with the Kindness Confetti Kids.  We served lunch and played Bingo with Senior Citizens.  The kids were so kind and friendly visiting and making new friends. Aaron made friends with a veteran and learned about his service.

Audrey befriended a sweet lady who adored Audrey immediately.  They enjoyed the game and being together.

Our sweet friend Shirley fell and was now staying in a rehab center.  We made some pictures and visited her. We love her and hope she can go home soon.

We love the delicious food daddy grills for us. He even grills in the rain for us.

We are getting our dining room finished.  Martha and Robin are finishing it for us.  I'm so excited to see it get done.

We had another fun time exploring the Botanical Garden.   There are lots of beautiful plants and flowers, water fountains where you can also get wet, and places to hide.

The kids made more pictures for Shirley since she is still at the rehab facility.  We are worried that she might not be able to go home and if she does she will need a stay at home nurse to be with her during the day. We just enjoy each time we can be with her.

We went to a nature center and park with the Kerr and Ince family.  We loved hiking around and following trails, climbing and exploring.

We love having donuts! Our family has a few shops we like to frequent.  But we are never shy to try a new donut shop!

We love to visit Carowinds! The wave pools are the kids favorite place to be besides the water slides.

Audrey and her friend Stella got really creative playing with the Juggle Bubbles.

We are on a family vacation to Gatlinburg in the Smokey Mountains.  We stayed in a cabin with a gorgeous view and loved it.

The kids had a blast at The Dixie Stampede.  There was a variety horse show that was very exciting to watch.  We also had a meal served us during the show and the kids loved it, especially the cowboy boot drink cups. We gathered a few extra to take home with us after the show.
