Looking Forward to Baptism, Charlotte Bobcats Game, and Christmas Parties ~ December 10th - 20th 2012

AJ is turning 8 soon and will be baptized a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints on his birthday December 23rd. We are all very excited for him. We made some invitations to give to teachers, friends and neighbors. Our dear friend Kristy Clason sent AJ a baptism/birthday present. He was so excited to get his own scripture marking pencils, Articles of Faith book and a future missionary bracelet.

An early birthday present for AJ was going to a Bobcats game with just mom. We watched the first half and then went exploring. During half time there were games set up to compete in and a small area to play basketball.  AJ loved this and we spent the whole 3rd quarter playing.

I made these Santa cups that are full of different candies for teachers, friends and neighbors. I also made the Christmas tree decoration below from wrapping paper. I love how it turned out. I also made the felt Christmas tree for Audrey. She loved having her own tree to decorate.  I love getting ideas from Pinterest.
Its so fun decorating for Christmas and all Christmas crafts in general.

Audrey had a little Christmas party at her school. The parents were invited and we ate pizza and I brought a Rice Krispie Christmas tree with Skittles on it for decoration. Everyone loved it! So easy and yummy!! Audrey had made several Christmas crafts and a present for Aaron and me. Her little reindeer hat was cute too but it didn't stay on very well.

AJ and Audrey are having a lot of fun looking for Scout, our elf, each morning. Scout hides in a different place each morning after visiting Santa during the night. He reports directly to Santa on how the kids are doing. AJ often talks to him and even read is wish list to Scout.

We have a big rock in our front yard that has become the "painting"rock.  There is a little hole in it that fills up with water. Audrey puts a stick in it and uses it to paint the rock. Today I got out a real paint brush and gave it to her to use. She requested I paint an airplane and some people. She likes to paint lines. Aaron also joined in the fun and drew an airplane too.

I was able to join AJ for his class holiday party. Since Aaron's birthday was during the vacation he was picked to be the one decorated in his group.  The kids were given lots of items to decorate with and a time limit.  AJ's team were the first ones done. You can't tell who it is when they are done but everyone had fun!

The pictures below are of Audrey being silly and asking me to take a picture of her. I love the shadow picture of me and my little ballerina!
