Freedom Park, Bubbles, and Out Door Fun ~May 1st to 9th 2012

We love Freedom Park! Especially since we can ride our bike and tricycle around it! It also has a huge sand box that Audrey loves and a fun park for AJ.  But the highlight today was the ducklings we saw.  AJ wanted me to take pictures constantly, and I picked just a few to put in the blog.  He loves "baby" anything!

Audrey's favorite activity these days, besides watching Little Einsteins, is blowing bubbles. She constantly asks to blow bubbles.  Our neighbor Jacob often joins in the fun. In the picture below our roses were in full bloom and made a great frame for Audrey.  I love this picture of her!

Water water water!! My kids love water. They play in the sink when washing their hands, they ask to wash dishes with the brush and water, they love baths, showers, swimming and sprinklers.  Audrey's little water table is also a favorite of course.  Today we put the water table under the sprinkler for extra water fun!!

There are 2 activities that will keep Audrey busy during a baseball game. The first is collecting rocks by stuffing them in her pockets and depositing them in piles she calls volcanoes.  The other is watching Little Einsteins on the DVD player you see in her lap in the picture above.  She also loves a hot dog and popcorn, just like AJ.  She also has  a few pairs of cheap sunglasses that she plays with and decided that they didn't need their lenses anymore as you can see in one of the pictures below.  She thought she was pretty silly.  AJ is really enjoying baseball, even though it is often boring to him.  He is improving and usually gets on base at least once each game.  He doesn't swing as hard as we know he can, but he is convinced he can hit the ball better that way and no one can tell him different. Probably because he does still hit it and often makes it to base.  I'm just glad he is having fun and getting more experience. He and his teammates love to chant things like, "We are the Giants, the mighty mighty Giants, if you can't hear us we'll yell a little louder" and AJ is always the loudest!

AJ only has a few soccer games left. He is getting a lot more competitive and really enjoys playing.  He actually headed the ball for the first time in a game and I actually got a picture of it.  So fun!!

AJ has been making a Lego airport or a few weeks now.  Today he made the tallest tower he ever made.  Of course he asked me to take a picture of it and I had him stand by it so we could see how tall it was compared to himself.

I took one picture of Audrey in front of this pink bush a few weeks ago and now every time we walk by it she asks me to take a picture of her.  Makes me laugh.  Half the time I ask to take a picture of her she won't let me. Her face is funny here and makes me smile.

AJ made the biggest airplane he has ever made for his daddy.  The poster was one of his 12 feet long ones. The airplane on the bottom picture has orange lines representing fire coming out of the airplanes jets along with the control tower and airport. He usually labels the pictures on all his posters too.  I love how creative he is and the stories his pictures tell. He made posters for his teachers at school and they love them. Just one more month of school!

AJ has continued to do awesome in school getting aquas ( the best behavior color you can earn) each day.  His writing has improved sooo much and he is just doing great. This last progress report he got all 3's, the best he's done this year.  He is happy at school and we are so pleased.  He has really progressed this year. In the picture below AJ rode his bike to school for National Ride Your Bike to School Day.  Audrey and I walked behind him and then walked the bike home.  AJ is excited to ride his bike anywhere, especially on Saturdays with his dad.  They usually ride to the store and buy treats.  A special activity for just the two of them.

Audrey loves her little pre-school class. In the picture above I got to stay in her class for "Muffins with Mom" in celebration of Mother's Day.  She gave me a little pillow with her hand print and it was so cute!
