Ducks, Baseball, AJ's School, and Soccer ~ April 15th -30th
We love to find great parks and especially ones where we can feed ducks. Freedom park is one of those parks. We went with Tracey and Jacob, our amazing neighbors, and had a great time.
AJ's 1st grade class had a field trip to the Children's Theater and watched Busy Town. I went with him and really enjoyed the performance. I'd love to continue to take him to the theater with me, so I hope he continues to be interested in it.
I love to see them involved and engaged in their own activities.
Baseball season is in full swing. We are juggling soccer and baseball, but having a lot of fun. We are excited to see AJ develop more skills and have a good experience with baseball. He usually plays left field and catcher.
AJ has a game during the week and one every Saturday. I send pictures to Aaron of the games during the week while he is at work and then on Saturdays he joins us and we love it. Eating popcorn for a dollar is a must and usually a hot dog as well in order to keep Audrey's attention on the game and not running around. After the foods gone I have my portable DVD player and she watches Little Einsteins so that I can watch AJ play.
The Fitness Run is here. AJ and his classmates were very excited to improve their running times and then get a popsicle. They stretched and got their numbers and most did improve their times! AJ was so happy that he did his best run of the year.
Audrey and I love to go to AJ's school for lunch and any field trip or activity. Today the school had a "Family Picnic" and invited families to come with a blanket and food to eat with their child's class. After we ate we got to go to the Out Door Museum, which was a little walkway behind the school in the trees showing the different plants and vegetation in the area. On the way there Audrey played with all the kids that absolutely adore her. They all love to hear her say their names and if they are lucky she gives them a five.
AJ loves soccer. It is is favorite sport and he has played it since he was 3. He has definitely continued to improve and become more competitive. It makes me happy to see him like playing so much. He would be sad when we missed a game or practice for baseball, but he wanted to be able to do both for just this season. Next year we will just play one sport at a time.
