Lego Airplanes, Soccer, and Outdoor Fun ~ Sept. 6th - 12th 2011
AJ loves legos and especially building airplanes. Here he built his own little plane and let Aaron play with his big airplane. Audrey just wanted to be part of the fun.
In the past AJ has played soccer on a YMCA league. This year we wanted him to have more than one practice a week and he now plays with Charlotte Soccer Academy. He has a regular practice with his coach and team on Wednesday, then a training practice with all boys in his age group on either Monday or Friday of the same week. All his games are on Saturday. He has a great coach and is really improving. AJ is also taking a tennis class at the JCC on Mondays. He likes it and has definitely improved since his first class.
Audrey and I play on the playground near the soccer fields or walk around the track while AJ practices soccer. During games we sit and eat so Audrey will stay in her stroller. She is able to get the straps off her shoulders and she stands up in the stroller with the seat belt still fastened, or pushes herself backwards. I always have to remember to put the brakes on or she will push herself around.
We went costume shopping and this is me trying to help Audrey "practice" wearing a crown. She takes out all her bows and now even her pony tail holders. This crown actually stayed on for about 15min. which was a big success in my eyes.
Our first fall pic-nic on our porch. Aaron grilled steak and we ate every bite!
We were outside playing sports on a beautiful day. AJ is still scared to go outside by himself to play since every neighbor we know, except one, has a dog and frequently walks them by our house. But most days I can convince him to play outside with me and today he wanted to slip-n-slide too. They both love water!
