Utah, Clasons, Wootens, Play Dates ~ July 2016

We had a blast at Bear Lake with Cara and Cami.  Cara brought kayaks and paddle boards and we all took turns learning how to not fall off out of them. It was a real adventure and I'd love a paddle board of my own someday.

We definitely enjoyed Northern Ice as often as we wanted. We also helped make raspberry jam which is delicious! As always while we are in Utah we went to the temple and loved it of course.

We made our way to the Clason's house to spend the 4th of July.  The kids had fun playing on the golf course.  They hit random balls and played in the sand.

Kristy took us on a hike early the next morning. It was beautiful and a good workout.

We had a ping pong tournament, went to a train themed restaurant with awesome shakes! The kids played at a playground nearby after we left with our shakes.  Afterwards we headed to the house and watched fireworks all over the valley from their balcony. We had a fun night eating, visiting and just hanging out.

After leaving the Clason's we headed to spend the day in Salt Lake City.  We toured the Visitors Center and walked around the temple. Then we headed to spend some time with the Wooten family. They were dear friends from Charlotte who had moved to Bountiful. We enjoyed catching up and hanging out.  We went out to dinner and watched a water show nearby.  Back at the house we shot little pellets from different guns and had more fun then I would have expected. Becky was one of those people who became an instant friend the first time we met.  It was wonderful to be able to visit her and the family.

On a business trip Aaron was able to visit Fort McClary. The pictures he shared we cool so I included them.

Our dear friends the Ramirez family were sealed in the Columbus temple.  We had the privilege of  attending the sealing and witnessing this sweet family joined for eternity.

My dearest friend Heather Jenkins is moving and we had a last get together before she left.  These friends have all blessed my life in many different ways.

We joined the Kindness Confetti Kids to go door to door and gather food for the local food bank.  We gathered lots of food and left successful at being able to help many families who needed groceries.

We had a play date with the Cloward family.  We played in the hot tub, ran through the sprinkler, threw the Frisbee and hit the ball around.

Another service project we joined in was at Bright Blessings. We colored paper that would be used to wrap presents for the kids that Bright Blessings throws birthday parties for at different shelters. It was fun to be creative and color or trace shapes. We also wrote gift labels for the presents.

Hello Mickey Mouse pancakes!

Freedom Park is one of our favorite parks.  Its beautiful pond is fun to ride bikes around.  It has 2 playgrounds to play on and some trails to ride on as well.

The kids and Dad made oatmeal cookies one Sunday afternoon.  It was neat watching them work together.  We love sweets in our house!
