Trunck or Treat, Blue Ridge Parkway, Plaza Fiesta, Trick-or-Treat ~ Oct. 14th - 31st

 Many of our friends from church got together for a trunk-or-treat. The kids had a great time of course.  We had a pumpkin carving contest and AJ won. He drew a picture of what he wanted the pumpkin to look like and I did the carving.  Then he wanted me to glitter the pumpkin red, his favorite color.  It turned out really scary and cool! Audrey has 2 little friends, Kayla and Riley, that she talks about daily and Kayla is in this picture with Audrey and AJ.   These next few pictures are before we went to a 2nd church Halloween party/trunk-or-treat with friends from the ward we just moved out of. We took some Halloween cupcakes and loved visiting with our friends we don't see as often as we'd like. They had some fun games set up for the kids, a chili cook-off, costume contest, and costume parade. Carowinds and a Pumpkin Patch ~ October 1st - 14th 2011

AJ wanted to take Aaron to Carowinds for his birthday back in September, but we waited until now to do it. AJ loves roller coasters and rode almost every ride that he was tall enough to ride.  He often got scared at first, but usually loved the ride when we got through. Audrey spent the day with a friend, so Aaron and I were able to just have fun with AJ. AJ is playing with the Charlotte Soccer Academy this year instead of the YMCA.  We wanted him to have more than just one practice a week and coaches that really focused on skills and drills. He has a great team and wonderful coaches. We'll be able to have the same coaches and team next spring season also. We love the fall and our yearly tradition of visiting a pumpkin patch and enjoying hay rides and other activities.  This patch had a hay ride that dropped us off at a small petting zoo for 30minutes.  AJ was very serious about finding the right pumpkin while Audrey tried to pick up all the pumpkins.
