AJ's first circus!

Image
AJ, Grandma and I went to the circus.  I can't remember the last circus I went to, but this one was pretty amazing!!  They had great technology that really added to the show. Costumes, performers and the whole production was very professional and well done. AJ especially loved all the animals, the motorcycle cage, and the men who catapolt one another onto each others shoulders. He was also amazed by a metal motorcycle that rode on a wire with a girl hanging on a bar under him.  AJ got a motorcycle toy and loves it.  Mom was so excited and had a great time!

Food glorious Food!

I love 5 Minute Artsian Bread!!  It tastes awesome. I also just made my first batch of Soft White bread from the same book.  AJ dosen't like the artisian bread, but I think he'll tolerate the soft batch.  I love them both!!!  Audrey experiences a variety of emotions while eating. Most are happy, but here are just a few others...

Audrey loves phones and AJ loves Wii

Image
Audrey any cell phone she can get ahold of.  She especially loves my phone.  I often show her pictures on it and she loves to see herself and AJ.  She is always happy when she is holding it and searches for it when I try to hide it from her.  AJ loves the Wii.  He is finally figuring it out.  We got he Wii Fit for Christmas and it helps AJ get some energy out and is a lot of fun.  He still likes Mario Cart best.  Audrey likes to bug AJ when he's playing and watch when the tv makes fun noises.

Look who's walking and climbing stairs....

Image
First phase she would stand in one place not even realizing she was doing it.  Then she would slowly lower herself to the ground.  Next she started to take two steps and fall. Then it was 4 or 5 steps from the coffee table to the buffet, or couch to the table.  She is incredibly cute when walking.                                                                   Here I come mommy!  Audrey loves to get into the kitchen when we let her.  We have it blocked off with a chair and ottoman since she is strong enough to move just the chair and pulls down the gate.  When we are supervising her we let her go up the stairs and she loves it! She is very quick!                      Audrey has been eating verrry good.  She eats more things then Aaron. She likes to feed herself and be fed. If you don't feed her quick enough she will scream.  She loves her mom and recently cries whenever she can't see me or get to me. She waves "hi" by opening and closing her hand.  She'll

Audrey's 1st birthday party

Image
Here is our little princess at her 1st birthday.  We celebrated with Grandma and Grandpa Sorensen. AJ got her this crown from his Sunday school teacher. Karen Blauer gave this shirt to Audrey to borrow  for her birthday. We ate a yummy dinner, and then had cake.  I made her a sweet flower cake and some cupcakes just her size.  She did not care for it, but I'm sure its just cause she was full of dinner! AJ made some butterflies from construction paper and taped them to her present. She loved pulling them off more then unwrapping the present. It was a sweet day.

2010 Family Picture

AJ will turn 6 and Audrey will turn 1 a month after this picture was taken. They do grow so fast! Slow down! It has been a year of changes, moves, new starts, lost weight, new friends and jobs, great family support and lots of love! Can't wait to see what 2011 has in store for us!

AJ's parking lot

Image
AJ has always organized his cars. He makes "parking lots" like this one here. Sometimes they are in boxes, neatly lined up, or inside a lego wall, or under a box just waiting to be discovered. He also likes to make car trains, or make a train track and put cars all along the track. It looks really cool and very organized.

Just a few tid bits...

Today while I was sitting on the floor with Audrey, I pulled her to me so that she was standing and she put her head on my shoulder. I started to sing her primary songs and she let me hold her for at least 5 minutes that way. I closed my eyes and just soaked it in. She is such a busy body and even though she wants me to hold her alot, she does not cuddle! AJ has a new behavior system at school. Mrs. Crist is a great teacher and she wanted a way to help the kids understand the + and - consequences of their actions and give parents daily feedback on their day. Green is good and where everyone starts the day. Purple is above and beyond. Yellow is 1 warning, then red with parent phone call and blue is principal and parent phone call. This week so far AJ started with a yellow, then 2 greens and a purple today! He was so proud and happy about it. I made pizza for dinner and he got egg nog ice cream. Yes we know how to celebrate in this house!! Now I'm off to steam clean the flo

The real Christmas gift this year was having Aaron home for Christmas through New Years Day. Since moving to Charlotte last July, he has worked at Wells Fargo Investment Bank an average of 17 hours a day. The Lord has truely sustained him, and he continually amazes me. He is a wonderful husband and great father. He's lost over 120 pounds in the last 8 months and looks fantastic and feels great. During his time off we mainly hung out and enjoyed being together. He and AJ did some fun activities like going to a Bobcat game, a movie, shopping, and other things. They wrestled alot, which is AJ's favorite thing to do with his daddy. We enjoyed lots of football and hanging out with our friends Jay and Karen and their 4 kids. Audrey has unfortunatley been sick most of December, but seems to be on the mend. She loves her daddy and often acts shy and cute whenever she sees him. She is trying to walk and is almost there. She'll give you a 5 if she really likes you and has started to
