Kathy's Baptism, January 2016

Aaron spent the weekend in California to have the fabulous opportunity to attend Kathy's baptism.  One thing they did before the baptism was go to the Los Angels Temple Visitors Center. Below are the missionaries who taught and extended the invitation for her to be baptized.  After church on Sunday Kathy was baptized by Brother Inskeep. Aaron put his phone on mute so that I could hear the talks. He gave a talk on the Holy Ghost. He said the spirit was strong and the whole program was inspiring, especially when Kathy bore her testimony. We are so happy for her and can see how much the gospel has blessed her life already. After the baptism the family went to a park to eat lunch since no one had a house big enough to fit everyone. Many great memories were made this weekend. We love snow... even if  it wasn't a lot, it was enough to make angels, sled and make a few snowballs. The kids freak out when they see any ice cycles since it is so

This sweet little girl earned the Terrific Kid award for this month.  She was thrilled to be chosen and I was happy to see how she has progressed this year in Kindergarten. Below she is showing me the book of poems she wrote.  All the parents were invited to come for a treat and to hear poems read by our students.  She was so excited to share her poems and pictures. Daddy had a very big surprise for our family for Valentines Day!  A box came in the mail, and something was moving inside!  We opened the box and found live lobsters! We were shocked and surprised! We also might have screeched and screamed a few times attempting to touch them and help daddy cook them for dinner. They were delicious! We definitely made some memories today!      The picture below shows Aaron eating shrimp since he didn't like the lobster??
