Family Pictures April 2011

Our friend Lamar in San Pedro, California  has taken our family picture almost every year since AJ was born.  It was fun to go back to him with Audrey added to our family.  He did a great job and we'll treasure these pictures for years to come!

These are our first family pictures with Audrey.  I wanted them to be on the first blog of "The Roome Report" I started in January, but it took a long time to get them from my friend ( technical difficulties). So here they are and the next blog will be our latest family pictures that we had taken in California!  I love family pictures! We had these pictures taken in Uptown Charlotte near Aaron's work.  We wanted a fall background and to be as close to Aaron as possible.  It was hard to set a time since Aaron's schedule is always unpredictable.  Aaron almost missed these pictures, but got there just before sun set and it got to dark.

More Easter!  Papa bought Audrey and her girl cousins little butterfly headbands for Easter.  I'm not sure what she's thinking here but its either, "I sure look silly with this on", or "Why are there Cheerios in my Easter egg? "  On Easter Sunday we went to Dolphe and Meagan's house in Riverside.  We had another egg hunt, yummy ham, delicious twice baked mini potatoes, and amazing rolls that I ate too many of.  We really enjoyed our time at Dolphe's home. AJ found his Easter basket that mom hid. He was excited about the candy and toys, especially the water gun.   On our last day we went with Alicia, Jamie, John and Papa to Mulligan's. It was very fun and AJ was in heaven.  He loved golfing with Papa.  He also did a great job driving the boat that you pedal with your hands. His favorite activity of all was the race cars.  He did a great job for his first time driving!! He did get mad at one kid that kept bumping him since it wasn't

We celebrated lots of Easter in California.  We colored eggs on Thursday and miraculously only had one minor spill.  We also had our daddy join us on Thursday which was the highlight of our week!! After spending time in San Pedro, we took Grammy and Papa with us down to San Diego. We loved the two 2 years we lived there and wanted to go visit.  We stopped by a park we used to frequent, went to our favorite Chinese restaurant "China Fun" and then Grammy and papa took care of the kids while Aaron and I went to our favorite temple.  Aaron served at the San Diego temple every Friday night. He loved his time there and the people that he served.  We were able to see a lot of his fellow temple workers and many did not recognize him.  He has lost a considerable amount weight since we lived there.  We had brunch with Grandpa Robby and Carol on Saturday and they didn't recognize Aaron either and he was standing right in front of them. We loved living near Robby and Carol and miss
